"Had an appt. booked today for 11:50. Bus was running late - rang up the store to let them know, no answer but was phoned back by the call centre. I let them know, they said all was good and I arrived at Specsavers at 12. By the time I had been seen in the queue it was 12:03. Person who greeted me had a scolding manner from the start and said they wouldn’t be able to accommodate and I’d have to re-book. I understand policy, I understand that people have bad days, but the attitude of the person who greeted me made me feel small and like a naughty school kid. Rescheduled an eye test with Boots opticians."
"Had to be refunded as new glasses kept being scratched by staff during nose nib adjustment. Appreciate that an attempt was made to remake the lenses which were scratched, however decided to try find a different branch due to the untrained staff causing scratches on my lenses. Staff generally a bit dismissive, which was frustrating as I didn't intend to be a difficult customer, I had just wanted a new pair without scratches."
"Service was great in store when I was choosing glasses but since then has been terrible. I ordered two pairs of glasses to be sent on to my local store in Edinburgh and was told 10-14 days. In the end the first pair arrived after 2 months and second close to 3 months. The two sets were received in store at different times and I had to call numerous times to get the first one sent on, weeks after they had been received in the Bristol store. Getting information on the second set took 5 calls before the Manager Adele finally followed up. I was promised a partial refund based on the delay but this hasn't happened and am again am having to chase to have this followed up."
"I think this was one of my worst experience with service. I bought a pair of new glasses a month ago, they got lost on the delivery so they had to re-order them. After three weeks they call me to say the glasses were ready to be collected. I went to the shop but after a long waiting they didn’t find my glasses so because I was on a rush and the lady couldn’t find any solution I asked her to call me back as soon as she find them. Nobody call me after 4 days, I did a report online but no reply and I’ve tried to call them today but “too busy to answer” . I still don’t have the glasses I paid for a month ago and I can’t have any answer. I am very disappointed and I am definitely not going back there anymore."
