"Here for the second time for the £1 kebab offer. Went with the OG-chicken kebab, slightly disappointed because I ask for no veg but been told it’s on offer so it’s sold however it is. Personally feel that people should able to take stuff out for various reason especially allergies. I thought the chicken one was okay (I’m used to the normal kebabs), so I find the chicken ones a bit disappointing because it all seems a bit crispy. Staff and management was friendly though! The music was towards the loud side when the cashier speak quite softly. I can’t have beef so I hope they’d do lamb kebab in future!"
"I have ordered a Veggie Kebab about a week ago from this place. The courier arrived quite fast and as I was really hungry I have opened the box quickly and ate a piece without much thought. To my UNPLEASANT SURPRISE I had to spit out the food as it turned out I was given a WRONG KEBAB! It was full of meat and there were no veggies at all, just some potato and sauce. What a sick joke and total disrespect to me as a vegetarian and a customer. Not only was my money wasted but my evening was ruined as I had to go to sleep hungry. I'll let all my friends and work colleagues know to avoid ordering from this place."
"First time at German Doner Kebab. Pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon, so we thought we would explore a new food place and give it a go. Very clean interior. It's set up for you to order via an app/online, and there are also screen ordering stations as you come in, but most people seemed to ignore the instructions and go to the till point at the back. Weirdly, having followed the instructions, it felt like I was putting the staff out - maybe the lady serving was having a bad day. Customers seemed to be late teens/early 20s (except us). Despite being quiet, it was doing good trade, with Uber and Just Eat drivers in and out regularly. It's open till midnight - should imagine it does a roaring trade after the pub. One of the staff did walk through the restaurant with a McDonald's bag - not sure if they were checking out the competition, or just needed a coffee? Menu was interesting. Veggie options and half a dozen soft drinks but no hot drinks, which I missed (but also no alcohol, which I didn't). One soft drink option was Ayran, which meant nothing to me but it seems is a sour (fermented?) salty yogurt based drink. I do enjoy Lassi, but didn't feel tempted to explore that one. The only water available was fizzy Glaceau, which was surprisingly assaultative for a water. There were some fruit juices - I might have been better with one of those. Customisable meals, long list of things you could add (including dill pickle - that's gherkins to you and me - and jalapenos) or remove. We tried the cheese stuffed peppers - yummy. I had the Kcal kebab while OH went for the "trademark" German Doner. Both very nice, plenty of it, tasty, fresh and very, very filling. All were served with 3 pots of dips - not sure what or why - garlic and herb, chilli and a pink one. The bread was amazing, and plenty of salad, which got my vote. Meat was kind of oily, but nice flavour. Glad we didn't order fries - still full now, 6 hours later."
"Food was beautiful and staff really friendly. Other reviews mention inexperience etc but they've only just opened and they're working hard. The portion sizes are huge, I couldn't finish it all. Honestly one if the niceness kebabs I've had. Nothing like a takeaway, where they can be plain and greasy. The flavours are great, and the sauces make a nice compliment for you to mix it up. Chips/fries are golden, unlike other places they're crispy and cooked spot on. I would definitely go again, but would maybe order less. I'm full and have half left still, would be great of they offered a mini box meal, maybe with half the kebabs size."
"Recently opened up in Huddersfield, Got the boss box with their original German Doner kebab - mixed with chicken and lamb, portion size was reasonable more meat with some salad, the bread tasted good too. It is more of the healthier side of Doner meat. standard fries, Doner spring rolls, glass bottle of Fanta with 3 sauces. Got a large tango mixed ice blast afterwards. The food was on the expensive side but reasonable for what it is. Customer service was good, members of staff were friendly. Plenty of seats for indoor dining. I would recommend this place to try out."
