"All good in the main, hot and fresh food made once ordered. Clean restaurant and friendly service. Have been to a number of taco bells and only marked this one at a 4 as the fries portion was significantly less than other branches so a bit small. Other than that all good for a quick tasty lunch"
"The food was stunning but service was a bit slow as they have a high deliveroo and just eat demand."
"Haven't had a Taco Bell meal for many years, last time was in the States a long time ago. The place seemed clean, there are self ordering machines and the food tasted nice, comparable to other fast food joints. Good place to go if you fancy Tex Mex fast food."
"As a brand new venue in Newport, it's always going to be busy and have teething problems, but the amount of Deliveroo/Just Eat/Uber Eat riders inside the restaurant is bonkers - and many were arguing with staff over delays. They really need to consider this when designing venues and have a separate window off to the side or even a serving hatch so they can grab and go. Also, the place was pretty dirty. Yes, it was late in the day, but no-one was cleaning or cleaned in all the time we were there. Compare it with McDonalds where they clean routinely. Not to be completely negative, the food was superb. Like, really good. It's my first visit to Taco Bell and I was surprised that it was pretty cheap too. I would go again, and hopefully it gets a bit more organised. (Oh, and please fix the drinks machine. That's the only way bottomless drinks work.)"
"Member of staff greeted me at the entrance and asked if I'm eating in or grabbing a takeaway - if only he would mention the wait time at this point... I saw only a couple of orders on the screen so I thought it will be a quick order, how long can it take to warm a taco/tortilla, fill it and put a portion of chips in the bag? I ordered at the self service kiosk (four of them are available). Wait time was over 25 min. This type of food should be flying out from the kitchen really quickly. Only after I order and moved toward the counter I noticed an overflow of delivery orders piled all over the counter - clearly the kitchen was not coping with them. For every two they cleared three more were coming in. If it would be just the wait time I would probably drop a start of the rating as this happens occasionally. Unfortunately I was to far from the place when I tried the food. The amount of salt on chips, nachos and in beef filling was so high that most of the food ended up in the bin, really inedible. If I would not walk that far, I would send it back and all for a refund. I would expect that it's the same ready made spice mix that is used on both nachos and fries but the person who was putting it on the food had to use at least three times of what they were supposed to use. Tacos don't have a lot of filling in them and they should probably be closer to £1.5 than £2. Chalupa was quite nice and if it wouldn't be that salt in the filling I could come back for it. Hopefully it was just a mistake made today because of the pressure that the kitchen wad dealing with and things will get better but I'm not willing to risk again. Shame as it is a newly opened place and I was hoping it's going to be a nice and convenient spot to grab something light occasionally when in town, with such an experience when it just got open and should keep highest standards to draw people in I'm not willing to come back :("
