"The worst takeaway ever. Decided to give it a go but wasted nearly 30 quid on what I can decribe as really poor food for an Indian. My curry wasn't even a special. A run of the mill dupiazia. The sauce was so watery it was unbelievable. The only ediable thing was the garlic nan. Never again."
"Deserves 5 star. Food is pretty cheap compared to most places, yet the quality of the food is amazing for the price. Curry is very tasty, chips are fresh and are the best I've eaten. Definitely recommend this place. I got collection but the inside was cosy and had a lovely atmosphere, will eat in some day!"
"That traditional British take on the Indian Restaurant, sure it probably hasn't changed since it opened in 1983 but does it have to? Small quaint and charming, delicious food friendly service all at a fair price. Yeah yeah you could say it's dated or lacks some atmosphere but for me that's what makes it even more charming full of nostalgia, I feel it's safe to say everyone in Cardiff has a story about Indo Cymru and is probably as well known as Dorothy's on Chippy Alley."
"Been visiting here every July for a few years now when I'm in Cardiff for a course. Open late, and I was initially impressed but less so recently. Last year the sauce with my biryani had so much coconut it was almost inedible. So this year I ordered the special shashlik, which was expensive at £12.95. Meat was ok, but again let down by sauce which was yellow, watery and tasteless. But worst of all, I was charged £3.80 for 2 papadums and a few spoonfuls of chutney. When I questioned this I was told that the chutney tray costs £2.50. I pointed out that this might be a fair price for a table of 4, but not for just one person. Suggested that it might be fairer to do it as many other restaurants do, which is charge a bit more for the papadums and include the chutney at no extra cost. Waiter just grinned at me then went to confer with manager who couldn't understand why I wasn't happy. He recognised me and I reminded him that I had been coming for several years, but would be looking for a different restaurant next year. He obviously couldn't care less, so I paid the bill and left without leaving a tip."
