"We visited today for afternoon tea, and it was honestly the best I've ever had! We had one traditional and one savoury to share, and everything was absolutely delicious, and such excellent quality! The stand-outs were the cheese scones and bacon jam (the bacon jam was a revelation!), the quiche, Eton mess and the scones with jam and cream - but every single thing was divine. There was a good selection of teas, too. We happened to have the restaurant to ourselves, but the atmosphere was still good, tranquil and peaceful but not so quiet as to feel uncomfortable. This was all topped off by first-class service - the gentleman who looked after us was LOVELY, so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, but unobtrusively. We really couldn't have asked for better, it made for such a lovely afternoon and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone."
