Reviews
"Very nice taste. Indeed taste of india. Loved pani puri. We ordered special pani puri."
"This review is long overdue, we had visited on a very busy diwali evening. The place is rather small with limited seating as it was diwali it was packed and the wait time was over 15-20 minutes. The young lady on the counter was very attentive and tried to get us a table as quickly as possible. Once sat down our order came but due to the restaurant being so packed and the kitchen under extra pressure the food got mixed up and all the dishes came together. The pani puri we ordered got mixed up and we ended up with a different flavour water so not a great start. The manchow soup, chill paneer and hakka noddles were good. But instead of masala chips we were given cheesy chips. They changed it for us but it was the same chips only in a red sauce and some spices so overall it's an ok place to have a quick bite and some snacks but not an ideal place for evening family meal."
"Visited on 11th November 22. If you look for proper Indian test this is the place....I ordered Pani puri , and Dhai Puri....that I Enjoyed a lot I also try crispy aubergine that test is ok. As my opinion, go for authentic food rather than chips and other experimantal dish......by the way Pani puri test was so nice and I will soon visit again."
"Another honest review. Firstly let me say for the food I score this place just a small fraction below 5 stars but not a full 5. I ate in had a takeaway it was that good. Paw bhaji was beautifully served and tasted great. The tea was lovely, strong and hot. 5 stars. I had 2. Takeaway is not the same. Crispy aubergine was very soft. The service from the 1 young lady serving was 5 star. I will definitely go again but not view it as a reviewer The reason why I give it just 3 star. We go out not only for the food but the whole experience. The skirting board was dirty all the way round. The window step was dirty and needed cleaning. The door saying staff only was filthy. The side of the counter just needed a bit of spray and a wipe. Customer's see everything. I did not see a toilet or somewhere to wash my hands. There was no heating, 1 staff wore a coat. It was warmer outside. What I saw. A lady bought out what looked like toast, with a note possibly with a table number on it. Before she put it on the tray the note fell on the floor. She picked it up off the floor and put it back on the toast. Staff behind the counter should not sit and play with their phone or even be having lunch. This place really has the potential to be one of the nicest on Leicester All in all the food was great. I will go back for a takeaway or on a warmer day. For anybody who has not tried this place, try it as food really is very good. In addition. The arroma of my paw bhaji is still on my hand 2 hours later. This is a sign of great food and flavour."
"Not really a fancy restaurant environment, more cafe style seating, but food makes up for it, also the food is cheap. Food is authentic and reminds me of real Street food in India. Beware, the mild Pani Puri is rather on the spicy side. Service is slow though, and no sign of drinks even though food had come out - my son scoffed a Pani Puri, which was much spicier than anticipated, and not a drink on the table to cool him. Especially liked the crispy potato bhajia (slices of potato in spiced gram flour battered, deep fried) bateta vada (spiced mashed potato, dipped in batter and deep fried) and bhel. Also had Punjabi samosas which were nice."
