Reviews of Frome College
"this school is a joke. mr jones in the science department has no respect for others, and their well-being. he ruined both years during my a-levels due to his attitude towards others and demand for a ‘go-getter’ attitude, when in fact his teaching consisted of reading off of powerpoints and referring to textbooks. he is a soul-less, uninspiring, quite frankly misogynistic excuse for a teacher. i do not recommend him, nor this school, if you treasure your child’s mental well-being. the mental health support is nil. we didn’t have a counsellor for years. beyond appalled - do better."
"Mr garden here, Having recently returneded from my gardening adventures in the land of Colombia, I am extremly disappointed to here that the righteous greenery lord Sir Gavine Baller has left to be replaced by some woman. This is unacceptableness. However, the greenery hear is still something to be very PROUD of. The trees still make light conversation and tell very funny jokes. Alan the squirrel is still going about his NUTTY businesses which always good. However, Gavine Ballers special green grass is no longer here and has been replaced by sweet sugar which I don't like. Not good enough Frome"
"Beyond a good education through dedicated teachers and a dynamic leadership team, my child has benefited from numerous and interesting opportunities within and outside the school environment that has supported her growth as a young adult."
"This place is definitely a no go area. I'll start on the positive notes first; the nurse and the student support/admin team are good. However, there are a fair amount of bad points I have to make. One being that almost every lesson taught is a dreary PowerPoint presentation or read from the textbook and answer the questions, only a few teachers try and make it interesting. The students are forced to wear certain uniforms no matter what the conditions, such as no coats or jumpers in a freezing classroom with broken heating and making false claims to the newspaper about students uniform during last year's heatwave. The principal is incompetent at the job and the teachers openly mock him in front of the students. He made false claims in a newsletter rant about how the college apparently are the only ones serving the frome area, obviously forgetting the GCSE students left and dispersed to Sexeys, Bath College, Wiltshire College and so on. The fire safety is appalling at best, given that in a fair few student common rooms fire alarms are inaudible and I only saw one fire drill across three years. The most disgusting thing is the asbestos problem - there is a lot of it in bad shape and the asbestos which was being removed last year was thrown out a window into a skip with students walking past and dust flying everywhere."
"This is actually a Miss Edith Quick writing. A month after I send the office an email. No reply. Not good enough, Frome College. They've binned my detailed sketches of Dali's best."
