Reviews of Beechen Cliff School
"I joined Beechen in year 8 after leaving private school at Monkton Combe. I’m writing this now as a student at the end of my first year in sixth form. After a hard transition i really grew into a much more confident student taking full opportunity of all the activities offered to the school. If i had to choose between contributing private school or going to any other school that i have had experience with. I would choose Beechen. The other schools i have experienced such as Monkton don’t come within a quarter mile of Beechen Cliff. Students are allowed to reach their full potential and are given the independence to develop and grow into young adults. The staff put all the effort they can into giving the best opportunity’s they can for the students even if this comes out of their own personal unpaid time. They all have complete dedication."
"I've been a student at Beechen for almost six years now and I've never regretted it. The teachers are passionate and hard working, the extra curricular activities are broad and interesting and the school is constantly looking for ways to improve. I'm proud to say I'm a Beechen student."
"The school has really made a lot of progress in the past 7 years, and I'm sure that it will continue to do so in the coming years. The majority of the staff are very caring and committed to their students, and the sixth form team especially are deserving of recognition. They've really helped me grow as a person over the past 2 years and have made a solid impact on my life. The boarding house is also unlike any I've seen, with the sense of a real family as soon as you step in, with boys from different years getting along in a manner that's very uncommon in an all boys school. I would recommend it to anyone. There will always be a few bad stories about schools that shine a very negative light, but with beechen its a handful of the students that bring down the reputation, not the staff themselves."
"Teachers are so hardworking, feel safe and happy at school. Such a good decision to move their from hayesfield for sixth form, very happy with how my exams have gone and put this down to the excellent teaching :)"
"The teachers are hard working and always willing to support us in any way possible and the students are always encouraged to reach their full potential. Love this school and proud to be a student here!"
