Reviews of Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms
"Absolutely dreadful. Avoid if you value your sanity. It is so bad that they have since had to ‘rebrand’ themselves under a new name as part of UCLH’s private healthcare wing. That should tell you everything. And yes, same rotten apples, just a new disguise. I could write an essay on their faults but would rather not let them waste more of my time. For the benefit of others, however, here are a few things you can expect (as noted in others’ feedback): Rude and useless secretarial staff— going all the way to the top (good luck if you think the head secretary will prove the slightest bit competent…); the doctors provide you with as little care and attention as one finds on the NHS; paperwork is constantly being ‘misplaced’, often for weeks, sometimes forever; no follow-up whatsoever; little or no communication with your GP (you can enjoy doing that yourself while ill); as likely to be greeted with an attitude as with a smile; incorrect diagnoses; poor quality MRI scans according to a radiologist sought for a second opinion, etc. ad infinitum. Foolishly, I thought I had maybe been unlucky with the consultant I chose and so tried two others: what a mistake. Months later a Harley Street practice was appalled by the lack of professionalism demonstrated by a neurological consultant at Queen Square, whom I had seen for sleep-related issues. If considering help for sleep issues, I suggest you walk—walk far away. The one exception to all this was a soft-spoken young woman who worked the front desk. She could do so much better than this place, and I wish her well."
"Being a patient of Dr Farmer’s for some time I found him pleasant and mostly with a smile on his face. The problem is, you need a doctor to be so much more. I didn’t feel that Doctor Farmer really bothered to find the cause of my pain and what was behind my symptoms. As a patient you put your trust and faith into your doctor, after numerous visits I found that Dr Farmer kind of gave up. There was no real closure or diagnosis. Communication was mostly through his PA who is actually very nice but if your looking for a doctor who is keen as you to get to the bottom of things, who values you as a patient then I would think twice about visiting Dr Farmer. Dr Farmer also failed after 2 MRI’s to identify that my Pituitary Gland had shrunk/flattened. After changing Doctor it was then we found the cause of my issues, I offered to share the news and results with Doctor Farmer, so cool is it could potentially benefit a future patient but I received a message from his PA that should would pass on. Any other Doctor would have replied personally, or shown genuine interest in one of his patients progression and good news."
"Very disappointed with the service provided at Queens Square Private Consulting Rooms (the neurosurgeon who conducted my consultation however was excellent) I visited the clinic to have a second opinion on an MRI before having surgery - which has now been delayed as I have been forced to wait 3 weeks for a medical report (something that I was told would take 2 days) As described by other reviews: - Everyone is very responsive when you're booking an appointment but once you are done, you are pushed aside - The phones at reception are rarely answered - The clinic Manager (who is also the PA of my Consultant) does not answer her phone, does not respond to voice messages or emails and is now passing on messages via the receptionist even when she is in the office - I am consistently being lied to about the date by which I will receive my medical report Considering the specialty of the Clinic and the fragile nature of Neurology/Neurosurgery, you would expect that the team there would be responsive, attentive and have some sense of urgency. This could not be further from the truth. All they have achieved over the course of 3 weeks is to prolong the pain that I experience on a daily basis. Avoid visiting at all costs"
"I saw Dr Hadi Manji at The Physician’s Clinic 3 weeks ago. He was a pleasant man and did some blood tests to help get to the bottom of my problem. He phoned the following morning to say he discovered something and wanted more blood tests done, which I had done at Queen Square Private Consulting Rooms, where he also has a clinic. That was over 2 weeks ago now. Since then, I have been in touch with his secretary, Jennifer Martinez, speaking to her twice on the phone, leaving her several voicemails (never a response) and sending her two emails with no response. I only got my results because I phoned the manager of Queens Square Private who promised me the results would be forthcoming that day. My impression is that I’ve never been to a more unprofessional doctor’s office in my life. I would never feel comfortable being treated by Dr Manji again, because there was literally no communication forthcoming from his secretary and that is the only route to contacting him. Now that I have the results and a suggestion I see an endocrinologist, I have lost over 2 weeks in getting to the bottom of my problem. Do not use Dr Manji if you want quick, or for that matter, any, results, without having to fight to get them."
"Dr. Matharu is a breath of fresh air to my local specialist group in Guernsey, who refused to treat me correctly and was prepared to make me wait months for a specialist in neurology to see to my health problems. Whilst the trip to London every three months comes at a great expense, in terms of travel to and from the Channel Islands, it is worth every penny. The team at QSPCR are efficient, helpful, caring, great fun and most of all understanding. Dr Matharu in particular has been a real asset to my recovery from Meningitis three years ago and because of him, and his team, I have improved greatly and have been given the opportunity to see the light at what once was a very dark and painfully long tunnel. I have no hesitation in recommending QSPCR to anyone who is tired of being ignored by they own GP or local specialist. It is a FIVE-STAR establishment with staff who really do care about their patient's well-being!"
