"Safe space for socialising, cheap drinks, snooker, events including live music and low cost membership. Dogs welcome in the front bar. Non members welcome to come in too but only access to snooker if as a guest with a member."

"We have been members for 10 months and love the place its very welcoming and every one goes out of their way to make you feel part of everything. The place is clean lots of comfy seating. We enjoy the entertainment that is laid on as well as other activities. The committee works very hard to ensure that there is lots to do for every one"

"Being a senior member of this club. I find it hard to understand why we can't get new members. Please don't let the name put you off. It's a warm friendly and safe place to take your family and friends. The more who join the better the club will become. It has been going for 117 years. As a landmark in fishponds it would be a shame to see it go. come along and try it you may be surprised."
