"I was diagnosed with one of the worst case of endometriosis back in 2004 and had my first open surgery back then with a different doctor and in a different country. I then carried on with treatment of my recurring endometriosis by alternating the mirena coil and lupron injections. I was told that I needed a second surgery but avoided it all costs because I couldn't a find a surgeon that made me feel confident about the results of my procedure. In January 2018, my endometriosis worsened (with a vengeance) and the doctors discovered that I had fibroids in my uterus that was causing excessive bleeding and bloating of my lower tummy and was told I needed a hysterectomy and possibly the removal of my ovaries. I did not experience any post operation complications and my recovery has been surprisingly faster than what I expected and successful."
