Pronto bistro

"I will start by saying the food was very good. However… The service and ultimately the attitude of the chef/?manager let our experience down massively. I acknowledge it was very busy and they were woefully understaffed. The waiter took our order and instead of returning it to the kitchen, went to the table behind us which was at least 12 cyclist, which took some time. That table then got served, after a very long wait, before us. By the time we got our 2 meals, I did raise with the waiter that I was confused why the larger table got served before us. Didn’t receive a coherent reply. The chef/manager then came out to say how busy and short staffed they were and to see it from their side. All of which I had acknowledged when raising my query. However, still no satisfactory reason why we were not served before and the manager’s attitude was not very customer friendly to say the least."

"food cabinet only had 2 half cakes. Was served a burger in the wrong bun, and it was sat on top or a portion of chips in a bowl. the Ketchup was fizzy and erupted from the bottle when opened. dirty table covered in crumbs and mess between the wood. playing two different musics at the same time which was annoying. overpriced for what i had, and the staff were rather miserable too. shop next door is nice, but this place needs some TLC."

"Food was good albeit a little slow. The service was terrible as they were confused. Repeatedly forgot things and paying for items as you go along is awkward. So much easier after eating."

"Great views on a sunny day. An extremely spacious bistro with lots of seating outside. The cake is very good. I look forward to trying one of the cooked breakfasts next time I'm in the area. Ample parking is just out front, which is shared with the adjoining shop that sells mainly equestrian equipment and gardening supplies."
