Reviews of Smyths Toys Superstores
"A very grumpy male staff member was unnecessarily rude when talking to us. Such an impolite person. Never going to purchase toys from this store again. The owner of the store should be employing kind and friendly people who help customers instead of yell at them. not ill mannered people that spread their negative energy onto customers. If I could submit 0 stars… I would!!!"
"Usually, I like this shop. Lots of toys to choose, good prices. But today I felt like a beggar. I went back to the shop because my son bought something and it had something missing. The lady from the till acted like I wasn't even there, she was speaking with another staff that I have sent my kids there to get a replacement toy and to be careful. She also called a tall guy, probably more important in the store than her and he acted the same. I had to raise my voice and to ask to be heard because I was there and I was able to speak the same language. No eye contact with none of them, not a single word to comford because they made me feel so useless and insignificant. I am a human been, do you hear me? Stop acting so selfish and rude and start acting like humans. Disgusting. I am sorry that I did not remembered to take their names. I am not a beggar, even if I was nobody gives you the right to treat me bad."
"Whilst we were queuing up, the person on the queue (Nicola) saw that we had our babies and shouted “is anyone waiting, step forward NOW!” Clearly seeing of course we were waiting and needed a couple of seconds more to “step forward” the attitude and level of service was horrible. The dirty looks she gave as well was not needed. The shop owner needs to hire more people with better customer service. Very rude, won’t be coming back to this store again"
"Your standard Smyths, if you've been to one, you'll know how it works, what they have, the store layout, etc. Getting here via public transport, Romford station (Overground/TfL Rail/greateranglia) is your best bet but buses is your other option, 128/193/496 at The Brewery (Stop R/S). Standard."
"Store is very massive with lots of toys. Very helpful staff and customer services here. The manager here Lee is one the best people in the World "Extremely Helpful" I was looking for a birthday gifts, Ross will always point you to the right direction and Stavy recommended the perfect gift for me today and the kids loved it. I'll always come back here to shop, very great prices and amazing experience. Thanks Smyths Toys Superstores Romford!!!!"
