Reviews of Bay Tree House Day Nursery
"My son as attended BTH now for almost 2 years. He absolutely loves it there, and skips in every morning. All the staff know him and I get such a family vibe when I am there. I also can’t thank them enough for being so kind and understanding during the pandemic. I lost my job completely and even now my money comes in in bits, and they have always been so understanding and allowed me to pay when I can. They are just the best and I recommend them to everyone that is newly pregnant or looking for a nursery. Love them xxx"
"I don't have a child at this nursery and so didn't really know what to do with this information but as a parent, I feel I have a duty to say *something*, somewhere. The nursery's garden backs onto where I was standing today when I overheard the caregiver in charge screaming at a child who can only have been 4 at most. Obviously I do not understand fully the situation she was dealing with - he had been 'naughty' as she obviously perceived it - but the violence and lack of control in her voice was astounding for a professional. I feel sick thinking of what it must be like to be that tiny child, dropped off at a nursery where the caregiver screams at them they are "not welcome in the nursery" while they cry uncontrollably. If anything is likely to cause challenging behaviour it's being stuck in that cycle. I really do hope I just completely misinterpreted what was I heard."
"My child has been at the nursery for over 2 years now and he loves it there. Yes, we had a couple of accidents over the years but nothing major. Shannel is a great manager and Judy is always helpful with figuring out financials. Seeing how some of the new nurseries in the area have dealt with pandemic I am so happy we sticked with Bay Tree House as their policies were always transparent and keeping child/parent interests front and centre."
"This nursery lack communication, andrefusing to refund money i was told would be. I paid for my son to attend the night. At 10am i was told to make the payment into there account and text the manager to let her know it was there. I was told that once she had checked the funds had been received she would contact me to tell me what time too bring my son. I did this immediately and I waited all day until 6pm. At 6 p.m. I called back to find out if she had received the funds and why she hadn't called me. After rejecting my calls several times she called me back to explain that she had received the funds and that I should bring my child. But as my son was due to be at the nursery at 8pm and I hadn't heard from her, I had made other arrangements. I started to lack confidence in the nursery, there communication was very bad I decided to record all communications I had with this so-called manager. I explained to the manager that her lack of communication had led me to find other child care arrangements. She asked me if I was bringing my son and I told her that I would not be. In the same breath she then told me that I had been quite rude and that she did not want me to call the nursery back. Surely if I had been that rude you would not have wanted to take my child in the first place. Only after I explained my lack of confidence was I rude. She then says I should send my sort code and account number that she would be returning my money to me. After waiting for this money, I have not received, I've tried to call this manager several times and every time she hears my voice she hangs up the phone. Nursery today in 2018 are quite nasty when it comes to child care arrears so I don't understand why this lady feels like it's ok to keep my money. I am currently in the processes of taking this nursery to a small claims court. Please think twice before you give your money to these types of nurseries this lady is willing to risk a CCJ for £80. This lady's behaviour has been quite disgusting and I am willing to spend more than the £80 to take this to a small claims court."
"my son has been attending bay tree since August last year and he is so happy there when he arrives he kicks his feet with excitement. The stuff always happy to help you and always have time to say hello or bye to my son when he arrives or leaves. the atmosphere is always fun, happy and upbeat i couldnt ask for better place for my 16 month old to be when he not able to be with me."
