"We got a voucher from Time Out for a three course Sunday roast for half the price. I emailed to book ( as per voucher and I couldn't get through on the phone) but no response. We thought we would chance it so we went anyway and luckily we were given a table. Staff were nice and attentive enough. Starters were ok but nothing special. Mean course Sunday roast was quite bad. Both beef and lamb were terribly overlooked, dry and chewy. Vegetables were undercooked and under seasoned. There was also the butchers string left in my meat. The food was so bad in fact that we decided to skip pudding that was a part of the offer. I reported my issues to staff they offered a replacement but by then we were so disappointed that we just wanted to leave. The manager gave us a 20% off voucher for the next visit which seemed silly considering we came with a 50% off voucher in the first place. The place has a very uneasy feeling about it as well. I am afraid I will not bother going there again."

"The kitchen staff have an incredibly poor standard of food hygiene. My party visited this pub in the morning for an English breakfast and observed kitchen staff prepare the food without washing their hands, leaving the building in uniform and returning to the kitchen area, all the while not washing their hands. Raw meat was transferred in and out of open containers, the whole operation was entirely unhygienic and the management were very unprofessional whilst dealing with our complaint."
"After waiting far too long to be served on a quiet evening, I was charged over £6 for a single gin and tonic, which then tasted weirdly sweet. It took another five minutes before the barman managed to find a packed of plain crisps and my change. Genuinely the worst pub I've been in for a long time."
