"What a magical place! Rachel has created the perfect countryside cottage, set with the backdrop of one of the most beautiful villages in England. Not too big, not too small, Compton Manor and Woodview give you just the right amount of perfection. You'll feel like you've been transported back centuries ago. Checkin to the cottage and then throw on your wellies for a hike up through the hills and fields. Come to the highest point and enjoy some of the best views I've ever had the pleasure of taking in. Come back to the cottage and start a fire in the woodburning stove and sit back into one of the wingback chairs and read a book. For dinner, walk just down the hill and up the street to the local pub. They have a top-notch menu and some of the most eclectic food I've seen in this area. The back of the house and front of the house will treat you like family. I can't recommend this cottage enough. You're doing yourself a disservice by not booking if you're in the area. "I have just spent a couple of days in this lovely, tranquil spot. The 250 year old cottage has been beautifully and lovingly restored. The accommodation is comfortable, wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The owners are very friendly and have a great sense of humour. The views here and around the locality are fantastic and the local pub, the Ring O Bells, is only about two minutes walk away and does fantastic food, cider and ale. If you like the countryside, walking, tranquility and looking out of windows to see cows and deer then this is the place for you. I love it. Highly recommended."

"Not sure why the previous reviewer would write a review on someone else's behalf if they hadn't stayed themselves? Or if they were even talking about the same place! We stayed at this lovely B&B when visiting friends in the West Country. The village was charming, the room and facilities were of high standard and the owners could not have been nicer! The bed was so comfy and breakfast was one of the best we've had. We wish we'd stayed longer and will definitely return!"

"On recommendation from the local pub some friends stayed here. NOT GOOD! The lady was friendly enough but the male owner was pretty unfriendly. Breakfast was average. Room was ok. I think they are banking on fishermen staying here but I wouldn't recommend it."
