Reviews of Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre
"Only three stars, the location could be better, lots of building work going on so was a bit of a faff, granted that will not be there for ever, the parking is a bit steep at £16 per day so keep that in mind if you’re driving. The hotel itself os fine, nice and clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was nice but the bacon looked about three days old. Room was clean and the tv and amenities were perfect. The bed however… hard as rock, my back was literally finished after one night, anyone staying longer than a night has my sympathy as I would be finding another place to lay my head, seriously the worst bed I’ve been in at any hotel stay. Hopefully they will change them at some point as if this is the Hilton standard I’ll be choosing other hotels for future stays"
"Incredibly expensive hotel for what is basically an attempt at an upmarket budget stay. Pay a premium for a park view (at the time was a building site and very loud). The beds are extremely uncomfortable and so firm and creaky (supposedly new). The only water is tap water. The rooms are also very pokey. And I was in a double! Apparently the king sizes are even pokier. Ironically I stayed in another hotel not far from there the night previously who offered me the same suite I had there for an extra night for the same price I had paid the previous night. I wish I’d have taken them up on that now. This one was nearly £170 and the previous was a lot bigger and more comfortable for £120. Won’t be staying here again. I enjoy sleeping too much. And I didn’t get hardly any here. The only nice thing is the access to the short walk through the park, which is pretty around Xmas with the lights but that’s not really a reason to pay a ridiculous amount of money. I’m a genuine member too and I’ve never had reason to complain about any Hilton before. Just want to warn people that isn’t the best and there are better hotels around it and throughout Bristol too. (Not that this is the worst, but the beds certainly are)."
"Fantastic hotel, all the team are great, I have stayed multiple times in the last few years as I was working locally, it has always been a stress free and pleasant experience. There are two members of staff I would like to highlight in particular. Peter and Elena in reception have always been brilliant, gone above and beyond in terms of help and assistance. They are both a credit to the team, always polite and professional. Working away from my family was never easy for me and to have a friendly face and quick chat brightened up my day."
"I didn't stay here so I couldn't comment on the rooms. I was having drinks in reception and I found the service warm and friendly. The reception area was spacious. The bar/dining area was pleasant. Everything seemed lean and well maintained. I had a cup of tea which was served by a very well mannered gentleman. I have no complaints."
