"We visited on a day trip to the town and from personal and online recommendations we booked with you. It was a special occasion so thought a littl touch of luxury for a lunch would be lovely. Fully expecting fabulous food, fabulous service and a few Cocktails to be shared. The service was awful, the drinks despite being ordered because of them sounding a little special for example a gin garnished with strawberries- which came without strawberry’s and instead a very sad looking slice of lime ( which was surely supposed to be for the corona, which was missing) The member of staff was stood at the end of the bar on her phone, not interested in customer service at all - so much so we had to interrupt her a number of times for additional drinks or condiments. Her ‘service’ was non existent and attempted to clear the table prior to the food being finished. There was no offer of desert and so we left and went to another establishment where we brought two bottles of champagne and enjoyed our deserts. The food was underwhelming although sounded good from the menu. We had the chicken burgers and chips - which were cold and very salty - shame we couldn’t order drinks to help with this. The burger was plain and honestly no more exciting than a fast food establishment. Maybe we had higher expectations and therefore a large anticlimactic experience but it certainly didn’t match the reviews we’d made our decision on."
"Had a 1 night stay with my wife here on NYE, booked via Secret Escapes. Our room was large and had a comfortable bed (2 singles made into a King). The only thing we'd have liked was as another easy chair (2 chairs for 2 people seems reasonable?). The staff throughout were great, the radiator in our room didn't work and the manager was so helpful in dealing with the issue. The food at dinner was excellent and again the service was friendly & relaxed. Would definitely stay here again"
"This pub gets really good reviews so maybe we just picked a bad week to call in while staying in Tetbury. We booked a table for two and found the place cold, exceptionally brightly lit and no ambiance. It felt a little like eating in a waiting room. The food was nice though, but the experience didn't match our expectations. Have given 3 star because the food was nice and staff friendly. It was the building and ambiance that let the experience down."
"Nice weekend, hotel was welcoming and very clean. Breakfast was lovely. It would have been useful to know that a sign was required on the door for daily room service. We returned following a day out to find the bed unmade and the bathroom not cleaned. I'm letting you know as there is nothing in the room to say you need to do this. Mentioned at checkout and was surprised by the response."
