Reviews of Hiding Space - Trim Street Apartments
"Apartment is very central so easy reach of most things, great position. Apartment is well laid out, definitely compact but good fittings, nice towels and toiletries, feels good. All Staff helpful and access to the apartment is easy. Good option to stay here."
"Great apartment but customer service is extremely poor. We tried to get access to the luggage storage facility but never received the instructions despite several calls to reception. The reception button seems to redirect to a generic call where no one can actually help. Though the apartment itself is wonderful, we would not recommend. - I see a response was submitted to this review and it seems recollections considerably differ. 1) It was not made clear that I was phoning an 'emergency line', as I was calling 'reception' as far as I understood - also more than 5 times to be clear. 2) I indeed later on received a call that several attempts had been made to reach me (none of which I received but reception in Bath was very bad generally throughout the weekend there), however I was not apologetic but at that point merely trying to keep the conversation as short as possible to still enjoy my weekend away. It's also bizarre that I could not just get the right information communicated through calling reception (via the reception button in the room - which now appears to be referred to as an 'emergency line'...). 3) I had already asked for instructions to the luggage storage the day before and was told I would received them over email - I had requested the information in advance because we had an appointment early the day after, but the email never arrived. I see several other reviews commenting on a lack of communication, so this does not seem to be the only review pointing out issues with this."
"Initially had some mixed communication from a couple of people and was unhappy but once I spoke to someone and cleared up the misunderstandings all went well, the apartments we had were perfect for us, clean and well stocked with everything we could need, only downfall was that they didn't have AC, and we were typically visiting in the hottest weekend, they provided fans but this just moves the hot air around. My only issue was that the stairs and entrance hallways were disgusting, on every floor the carpets were stained and didn't look inviting, thankfully this wasn't the case in the rooms at all. Overall very happy, location is perfect."
"We stayed in the Trim Street apartments for 2 nights. They are very central, so great for exploring and although small it has everything you need. There are a few negatives though unfortunately. The bed - this is very comfortable however, it is also extremely high. I'm 5ft4 and it was really difficult to get in and out of (think of a toddler trying to get on to the sofa) so while beautifully designed it's not all that practical. The studio itself - beautifully appointed and situated however it's sold as soundproofed but it really isn't. The noise from the guests upstairs woke us up with the noise they were making, not with their voices but walking around, chairs being moved etc, we didn't make a complaint because you can't ask people to stand still can you? You can also hear the people in the corridor and going up the stairs, they have signs asking people to be considerate but again they weren't being unduly loud, it's just that you can hear them, likewise you can hear noise from the street. I'm not sure what part was soundproof but room 2 definitely isn't. The bathroom is beautiful however the door didn't close properly as there was a screw sticking up ofrom the wood under the door. Luckily we've been married for nearly 18 years but if you're a new couple be prepared to know each other really well. The mini bar prices are extortionate take your own. The cow shed products are complimentary but are £18 a pop if you want to take them home - be prepared as they are topped up from other guests useage. All in all though a lovely stay but these are things to be aware of."
