"Great Indian restaurant, one of the best in London, highly recommended I will come back! For my personal taste and experience second rank after Trishna, but way better than Gymkhana. The chicken that I took was properly cooked without overcooking. A tasty marinade and super rich flavour. I also took a wonderful seafood with a particular chutney, the balance between flavors was spectacular. My girlfriend took a hand made paneer that was simply amazing. Our waiters were really kind and welcoming, but we could here some noise from the grill and that's why I didn't give full 5 stars. The wines we took were another incredible choice."
"Great food and service at Amaya in Mayfair. We booked on a Tuesday evening for dinner and the dining room was full. The location was slightly difficult to find (situated down an alley just past Pantechnicon). Service was great as the evening progressed but felt awkward initially (something to do with drinks and getting food menus which I won’t bore you with). Food was delicious with interesting flavour combinations and a modern twist on Indian food executed well. Stand out items for me were the seafood platter (a cooked scallop, oyster and prawn) and the chaat in a tart."
"Have visited here twice. Last visit was on the weekend. Cannot fault the service or food. Always flavourful, and due to seasonal menu it’s always exciting to try something new. We were a full vegetarian crowd and a vegan. They happily catered and altered dishes to meet our requirements."
"Very nice experience and very tasty food, everything we ordered is in the photos, except for the Basil chicken chops. Everything we ordered is recommended. Also, some of us ordered prawns from the starter but they are not my style. However, who tried it says it is good. The gulab Jamon was good too."
"Best Indian restaurant in London?? Across 9 dishes the texture of every protein, carb, grain was cooked to perfection. The flavours were incredibly warming and yet they kept you guessing at each turn. We ordered the Scallops, lamp chops, prawns, duck, baby potatos, mustard spinach, lamb Rogan Josh, Kerala prawn, chicken biryani and garlic naan. While the scallops could have relied less on the incredible sauce, the potatoes were a little over salted and the chicken biryani a tad plainer than we've tasted, the remaining dishes were a HUGE sensation for the pallette. The lamb chops, prawns and duck starters were standout and should not be missed. The Kerala prawn was the better of the two curries and the spinach was deliciously pungent and provided a great contrast. Don't expect too much from the somewhat inexperienced service (no timely welcome, delays in taking orders, serving drinks and clearing dishes), let the food do the talking and this is a clear 5 star rating. Edit: Also ordered the pomegranate and passionatefruit granita (crushed ice with sugar and flavouring) for desert and was served an Indian donut as a birthday treat. Both tasty and wrapped up our meal well. They also have a gorgeous private room downstairs for larger groups."
