Reviews of Stewart Memorial Fountain
"Nice fountain in Kelvingrove Park . Nice place for a walk. It's dog friendly. They have restrooms nearby. Picnic area with bbq tables nearby. Also, it has a nice playground 2 minutes away."
"Very nice ornate fountain situated in a very nice park to stretch your legs after lunch"
"Located in Kelvingrove Park is this monument to the late Lord Provost of Glasgow, Robert Stewart and and the completion of the Glasgow Corporation Water Works supplying the city with fresh drinking water from Loch Katrine. The fountain contains imagery alluding to the lady of the lake at the centre piece of the fountain. Just below the lady of the lake are 4 lions and unicorns holding shields and circular motifs to represent the 12 signs of the zodiac. At the edges of the fountain are placed four cherub like children with playful expressions. Sadly, there's no water to the fountain."
