"Opening times for the post office online state 9am-5:30pm. I walked for 40 minutes to post two large parcels only to be told that it was now closed between 1pm-3.30pm, even though there was a member of staff behind the till and they had not updated any of their online information. The staff member was rude, dismissive and had an extreme unwillingness to help. Her only solution was that I wait for 3 hours until they reopened. If I could give a zero star rating I would. Useless."
"Great shop and Post Office with fantastic owners and staff. Always welcoming and a vital part of our community."
"Poor manners. I turned up to post something not realising the Post office counter didn't open til 9am, it was 8.50am or thereabouts. Gentleman on duty made his coffee, tidied up a bit in his staff kitchen despite hearing the doorbell sound, didn't check if I was a shop customer or not, no immediate hurry. Then eventually served other customers who were purchasing general groceries, when I questioned him he told me it didn't open until 9am which he advised had been made clear on their opening times notice. I hadn't seen this, I get that it's my oversight but some manners, pleasantries, common courtesy, customer service, even a smile wouldn't go amiss. Will not be visiting here again, so rude and arrogant, plenty of other local shops that deserve my custom more than here"
"I visited this quaint Post Office and General Store recently (during the Coronavirus Pandemic). The store was well organised for social distancing and the staff were very pleasant. The shop had everything you would wish to find, including dairy products, vegetables, a good selection of bakery items, locally made cakes and there was even a stand showing off some very nice hand made jewellery. The tea shop was not open at the time I visited, but I look forward to having a cuppa and a cake sometime in the future. Take care and keep up the good work."
"Delivered a very light shoe box first class and was told it would cost 8 pounds! The trick he played was when I said I wanted it first class he simply nodded. Along with my purchase of brown tape (2.99 pounds) he stated 11 pound 99p. Eh? How could this be? It was because he had himself chosen one of if not the most expensive delivery options which I had not asked for. He then huffed when I said there is no way it is that much. He huffed because 'now I have to go back through the list of prices.' Finally he 'offered' me 3 pound first class. Why not this price at the start? I noticed his colleague or wife next to him, she never corrected him or argued alongside me. Just another scam."
