"A big thank you for doing wee Doc's nails today, he is a rescue dog and since a bad experience at the vets he is very nervous of getting his nails done. I will be in touch to book Doc in for his bath soon."

"Got our very nervous cockapoo groomed here today. Was very impressed from start to finish. He was there for many hrs whilst they made him feel less anxious by taking their time. Lovely cut. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommended"
"On the 29/08/19 I took my little Yorkie to get groomed here and it was the third time I'd taken her. Unfortunately on this occasion she came away with with cuts and scratches as a result of her being shaved. I noticed these cuts (3-4) after I'd brought her home and examined her more closely. At the time, I dismissed these as fairly minor injuries indicative of a novice groomer with little shaving experience and had decided to resolve the issue simply by taking my business elsewhere in the future. After all, the cuts were minor and had healed in a week or so. In hindsight, I regret not documenting her injuries and taking the issue further. I'd almost entirely forgotten about this incident until I was contacted today by Canine Cottage requesting that I bring my dog along for another grooming. I raised the issue of my previous experience with them and at this point I would have been satisfied with a simple apology, however that is not what I received. Instead, Canine Cottage completely denied any wrongdoing and even accused my dog of inflicting the injuries upon herself and accused me of fabricating the entire incident. (For what reason I would do this, I'm not sure? I had not even requested a refund). This made me angry, to say the least, and is ultimately what led me to writing this review. In case you had not already guessed, my dog does not have razor-heads for paws and would not have been capable of inflicting these unique type of cuts and scratches upon herself (most similar to razor-burn), and coincidentally in all the areas where she was shaved closest to her skin. In an attempt to deny their wrongdoing, Canine Cottage produced a single picture of my dog post-grooming and claimed this as proof of there being no cuts, despite the picture not even capturing the areas where she was injured. To make matters worse, after their denial of any wrongdoing, Canine Cottage began to harass me via multiple unsolicited text messages, eventually forcing me to block their number to prevent further communication. I'd recommend anyone considering Canine Cottage as their groomer of choice to take their business elsewhere to a more reliable and professional service. Given my poor treatment as a customer, I think it's also reasonable to have concerns about how the dogs are treated in the absence of their owners."
