The Jaggy Nettle

"I'm sorry, I truly am. The place was absolutely freezing cold, uncomfortably cold. The food was served on paper which tore every time I cut into my fish, and on cold plates, the fish itself was soggy, luke warm and I think it was frozen fish, the peas looked like cold parsley, the chips were passable but not enjoyable. I left hungry. The lunch was a treat for my birthday, unfortunately it was not a treat. Just awful. I'm sorry, I don't take pleasure in giving a bad review, but it is truthful."

"I am a fussy gluten free vegetarian. Rachael was very attentive and explained most items on the menu could be made vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free. I had GF/vegetarian haggis mixed through a big Bosh bowl salad, it was delicious (forgot to take a pic). The rest of my family had fish/chips with homemade peas and homemade tartare sauce, macaroni with chicken/chorizo, coconut banana/bacon stuffed chicken, aero cheesecake, strawberry pavlova, hot chocolate fudge cake. We all agreed the food was delicious The service was first class. We will definitely be back again x"

"Have been for coffee and a snacks a few times and have never been dissapointed. So I was really keen to try a proper meal. Visited for a early evening meal a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't up to scratch. Pizzas weren't available. Something about the dough not being delivered. The member of staff kept complaining he was alone and had to do everything himself. We were the only customers. But when another customer arrived, he was kept waiting for 10 mins to place his order. Member of staff just shouted apologies from the back. A bell kept ringing for minutes at a time. I later found it was a Just Eat call. So annoying for it to keep ringing and being ignored. Food was OK. But unfortunately I can only recommend the onion rings from that particular meal. Both glasses were dirty and had what looked like lip marks around the edge. Both of us drank from our cans. Maybe one day we'll get a pizza that seem to be the speciality"
