"Cramond beach is one of the best places for a wee scape. It only takes about 20 minutes to get there with the bus 26 from the city center. A nice walk in nature and fantastic views of Fife with the island in between, where you can go walking depending of the tides . Beautiful sunsets, and if you follow the river, you can find the waterfalls within 10 minutes. Highly recommended to give it a try, you will not be disappointed."
"Amazing place to go for a walk up the long causeway to Cramond island while the tide is low. We walked it while the tide was only inches below the walkway. The timings of the tide are mentioned specially by date and time so it's really safe. The beach itself is vast and we only had a handful of people there. Well worth a 3hrs to half a day stay."
"Great spot for a walk, run or cycle year-round... Really shines in warmer months with pub and cafes nearby. Great views of the Forth and nice safe and wide path for cycling and running. Some hidden gems worth exploring for too!"
"A nice, long walk with beautiful scenery. Double check online for the tide information if you wish to walk to Cramond Island otherwise you can’t get across or get back. There’s public toilets free to use and a couple of cafes and ice cream vans (depending on time)"
"Came here to walk over to Cramond Island. Free car park. Can imagine it gets very busy in the summer months. Worth visiting and walking over though. Just double check tide times."
