"Hi there, so firstly I adore the flying duck! It’s a really great venue and it’s probably the only place I can think of that does a decent Vegan Mac and cheese! My only upset is that the venue isn’t accessible, it’s down a couple flights of stairs and The the gig venue is down even more stairs. And I know nothing can be done about it but I think having a bit more visibility on that the venue isn’t accessible would be amazing! I would recommend this venue though it’s a lively place and I’ve always felt welcomed! Just from the point of view of someone with access needs it’s tough to want to have events here as I have many pals who are also mobility impaired. But again too venue despite this"
"Menu has slowly been going downhill for years. Used to love this place and get excited to eat here, until they changed the menu the first time and everything on it seemed....average. I still enjoyed it to an extent but it was no longer my favourite restaurant. However, the recent changes to the menu is what really caused me to write this review. For example, their"Grilled Cheese" sandwiches are truly, truly awful. The Philly Cheese Steak was literally a piece of normal bread, toasted, with some undercooked seitan and some soggy onions and peppers. This was roughly £10. I swear I could have made it better at home and I'm not even a great cook. Their bathroom sinks are also never working, almost every time I have been there too. Seems to be taking a very long time to fix that. Completely disappointed in their effort recently. Good bar, good venue, maybe eat somewhere else."
"I love the flying duck! Its my fav 100% vegan place in glasgow."
"An underground pub & music venue with a completely vegan menu. The place is split into two large rooms - one with the bar, kitchen and eating area (they also have board games and a pool table) and the other with a cosy concert hall. The staff were friendly. The food was really good though the menu was a bit limited the day we were there (probably being mid-August and students being away) but we had a nice time. I had to ask for some changes to my dish due to a dietary restriction (in addition to being vegan) and they were happy to accommodate. Despite being next to the music room where a band was playing, the bar and dining area were quiet. We went to the music hall in the next room afterwards for a bit. Nice ambiance...younger crowd."
"Good food, good drinks! Industrial setting which added to the charm. It's down quite a big staircase so be careful if you have access needs. I ordered the hotdog and it was yummy, the chips were also really good!"
