"I was recommended to OGR by a family member, and unfortunately, my experience with Graeme Fraser and his team was nothing like any of the other reviews. I hired them to handle my divorce proceedings, giving them a very specific objective from the initial conversation. Mr Fraser does not spend much time 'listening' to his clients....and spent more time talking 'at' me about how he mingles with this judge and that judge and how he is part of this network and that network. Unfortunately, all of this networking did not deliver any value in my case. He talked about how the other parties solicitors are 'process' solicitors and he prides himself on providing sound advice vs just firing out letters. However, the entire time, the only advice from him and his team was to concede and consider the cost implications of legal action. At no point was there any consideration for the objectives I set forth when I hired his team in the first place, and if his firm had the capability to deliver on what I hired them for. Nor was there any thought given for doing what was 'right'. Eventually, I got 3 second opinions...one was from someone OGR recommended. All 3 second opinions questioned how OGR had got so far down the line and were negotiating blind without disclosure. By the time I switched firms, OGR had sealed my fate, which the new solicitors were unable to undo. Had OGR obtained disclosure early on, the outcome could have been more favourable to me. (Of course, OGR will blame me as I sign off every letter they sent out - but the point of having solicitors is to trust they know what they're doing - if I have to double check that they are navigating the legal system to my advantage, then there is no need for a solicitor). In summary, despite all the other good reviews of Graeme Fraser and his team, my experience has been nowhere near. OGR did not demonstrate any consideration for the objectives I set forth which formed the basis of hiring them, they demonstrated absolutely no strategy in their approach, and time after time, recommended a course of action which continuously weakened my negotiating position, left me trapped with nowhere to go, and gave the upper hand to the other party every step of the way. At a difficult time of life, I hired OGR to leverage their experience to guide me through the process and of course reach a fair or favourable outcome for me. OGR did not accomplish this. For them, my case is transactional. For me, my life is permanently worse than it could have been as a result of their actions. Based on my experience with Graeme Fraser and team at OGR, I DO NOT recommend them to anyone, and would suggest you look for alternative representation. (I notice that OGR claim they have no recollection of other people who have left less favourable reviews of them. I am happy to upload some of their letters to this review as proof that I was a client of theirs if necessary)."
