Reviews of City and Islington College - Centre for Business, Arts and Technology
"Worst experience ever. Got removed was supposed to be temporary over an online comment also management is poor been in the college for 3 months and I revived my timetable after 2 and a half months. Also the head of year lied about exams starting in march when they are still going on as of June just in order to not allow me back in. Wasted a year of my education head of year seems to only care about her pay check and ended up wasting a year of my education. I will be contacting a solicitor against the principal and head of year and I will be also making a complaint against the college as a whole to the appropriate party."
"I do not recommend going to this college at all in terms of teaching and the way it is organised I can say from experience that it is a terrible college, the teachers do not know how to teach properly, they use old presentations and text books with minimum effort. I studied 2 years of BTEC level 3 business extended diploma and pretty much learnt everything myself not only that but I received wrong results, the teachers were no help and kept stalling me for no reason, literally so lazy and useless. Stay away from this teacher called Zara, when you see her you can tell what type of lady she is, she looks like a coat hanger. Biggest waffler."
"Studied Art and Design level 2 and 3 here. My first year here doing a level 2 was very enjoyable and fun. The teachers really want to help you and I achieved a Distinction and the work I made during my Level 2 is something I am proud to use in my portfolio. 1st year Level 3 was also really good teachers helped us a lot and the work I produced I was very proud of. Unfortunately my Final Year at this college doing my 2nd year of my level 3 course was horrible. I hated every part of it our main 2 teachers were terrible very stuck up and rude, clearly they didn't care about our class because they treated the Foundation students very differently. They never gave us any freedom with our work at all we always had to listen to them and go along with what they said even if we didn't like the idea. I hated my last year so much that I was even thinking of leaving the course but I didn't cause that would be 3 years wasted. It's a real shame because I was planning on doing a foundation there but after that final with those teachers clearly staying at CNI was not right for me. However I did meet some amazing people and made loads of friends and there is such a wide range of people with different personalities. The support staff and the staff in the world of work are great to and really want to help student with what they want to do after college and they give u great advice on you CV and university or apprenticeships."
"worse college ever! some staff are rude and there is no consideration towards your situation, always stressing you out and not supporting students with situation or work but telling you to figure it out yourself. School gave me so much anxiety which made my medical condition worse, and they still didn't care to help update on work when away because of illness. Never though a college could be terrible enough to do this to you. NEVER GOING BACK."
"Absolute crap college. Only good thing about it were the frequent days off and holidays. The support staff are great but I suppose you'll have to be if you work here. Met one of the worst, rudest, most arrogant teachers of my life here who made my first year absolute hell. I don't recommend you go here, especially not to study politics...."
