Central Garage

"Staff looked at my car and said they are not able to repair it now. I tried to make an appointment with them as I needed to use my car as soon as possible. They said they will call me back but they didn’t. I tried to contact them twice but they didn’t care at all. I wouldn’t recommend this garage at all."

"We have been using JP at central garage for over 10years we had another garage tell us that a gear box was shot in one of our work cars and when we took it to central they looked at it and said no likely just clutch is on its way out. Low and behold it was just the clutch and saved us about 2k! Since then all of our fleet of company cars/vans have been looked after by the team at central and we recommended them to all our colleagues they even look after our families cars, mot services etc. Good old fashioned garage where they know their stuff."

"I went to this garage as it's just around the corner from me and I really wanted to support a local business. I took the car in with starting problems. They ran diagnostics and asked to replace the thermostat explaining this was the likely cause. Went ahead with work. They also identified a significant oil leak which they replaced a number of minor parts for. After 3 days I received car back however oil leak continued. I returned it to them and asked them to assess what work would need to be done and to tell me how much it would cost before they continued, as I would need to judge whether it was worth going ahead. I was then told the car would be un-drivable if they put it together without new parts - so I ended up having to pay considerably more to get car back on the road. They kept the car for 7 days in total - though I would say two of these days were unworkable due to snow. I will hand it to them, the oil leak seems to have gone, however the problem I initially took it in for has continued to get progressively worse since they did the work (a fortnight ago) until now the car will not start at all. I cannot afford another £700 to have the car returned to me running worse than when I took it in and so cannot face taking it back to them to sort out further. Unfortunately - I must look elsewhere for a garage I can rely on."

"They did major work on my pick up truck first, and then emergency work on my camper van after a major recovery (when no one else was interested) that allowed us to continue on our holiday. They are very helpful, extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and very very prompt. I highly recommend them. 10/10."
