Reviews of The Wallace Medical Centre
"Practice has severely went down hill. Tried to get my daughter in law into practice but nothing but hassel. Staff are not even aware what it says on there website in relation to accepting new patients. The Manager Euan who has only been in job for a year and a half has no clue.....that's why the staff that were there who were lovely have left.Called Euan in November and still awaiting a call back. Called today to ask about asthma clinic phone rang and rang and when answered I was told " call back at end of the month" then they hung up....fantastic people skill.... NOT!!!"
"Can't get into surgery until after 9am now ( discrimination against people who work full time). While on the phone you have to listen to war and peace directing you to every NHS area bar them. Your on the phone for hours in a phone queue. Complainted about this multiple times, when present in the surgery, to the practice manager while still in a phone queue for them. No phone is getting answered, or is ringing !!!! Nothing changes. Feel the world is going backwards regarding GPs and Dentists. Eventually when you get a call back ( if your lucky) it's either a nurse, a pharmacist or a paramedic !!!!! Where are all the Doctors ?!!! What do Doctors do these days in a GP practice. Complainted to the SNP govt about - they did nothing and directed me back to the complaints department of the GP ie they police themselves !!!! Unbelievable"
"This practice is a joke! The whole system needs a shake up, my son spent an hour in a phone queue yesterday then they hung up after the hour? And whos bright idea was it to have everybody phone at 8:30?( which by the way is peak time for folk on school runs etc)and on the very rare occasion you do get through to someone its a phone consultation? How can you check someones throat and lung function over a phone? And.. last time my son was unwell yous gave him a prescription for a uti which he didnt have? And how do i know this? We wasted time going up to a and e on the sat after his symptoms worsened! About time gps started seeing patients again face to face cos your current system is a farce!!"
"Reception staff are rude and dismissive, if they ever even answer the phone. Haven't been able to get an in person appointment since before corona, forever messing up prescriptions, not sending them out or sending them to wrong pharmacy. Disgrace of a place will be changing surgery asap."
"I am sorry to say that I am not happy with the service when I call the surgery. When I finally get through I feel I am being brushed off all the time. I am fully aware that the surgery is busy and everyone has million of questions, however this is the job and as I Manager of hospitality industry I need to point out that the reception team needs to work on great customer services and be a bit more understanding, open minded and helpful. I do feel that I want to change my surgery."
