Reviews of Saint Albert's Primary School
"St Alberts is One of the most respectable and caring schools in the world. Teachers are so helpful when you are in a problem they will give the best advice. The school is so creative and is filled with resilience."
"Love ❤️ glasgow it is a best place from Rahib to Glasgow. And love ❤️ ST ALBERT'S"
"St Albert's currently has over 300 children on the roll and in June 2017, HM Inspectorate of Education published their report on the school. It was awarded an 'Excellent' (the highest) rating for 'Leadership of Change' and rated 'Very Good' (the second highest) in all other areas. If you are considering sending your child to this school, please make sure you look at official reports and information to make your decision. The school is a unique, multi-cultural community where children are happy, learn rapidly and experience a huge range of activities. We are fortunate to have large grounds so there is an emphasis on Outdoor Learning and we hold 4 Eco-flags for our environmental work which includes growing food in our school allotment. The children use iPads to create films, to use apps which support their learning and each class has a blog to communicate with parents. St. Albert's doesn't offer a traditional, desk-based learning environment because educational research has shown that children do not develop creative and problem-solving thinking through that style of schooling. Victorian schools were like that but over 100 years has passed and St. Albert's has moved on."
"Loved it because I am proud to be in St Albert's and I just love it.I have got the best teachers in the world and shoutouts to Zarah Zahid u the best"
"Ive been to this school for 6 years and it is NOT the best school. The school is catholic but has no more than 10 catholics or christians. The rest of the children are indian, african or asian. The education they provide is terrible. When my child went to this school 2 years ago, there was no p.e teacher, art teacher, or proper music teacher. In an assembly, the teachers force the children to sing instead of guiding them. There are only about 100 children in this school with as little as 7 class rooms. When my child was in primary 1, she asked a group of her classmates if they could play with her. They said no to her and called her names. My daughter told a playground teacher how she was feeling lonely and the teacher, mrs forteith, replied by sourly telling her that she'll have to make her own friends, instead of guiding her. My daughter was in the highest math class in p4, when she had to be absent because of an important death in the family. After that day the teacher, put my daughter in the lowest group of 7 dyslexic children. She wasnt dylexic and she wad forced to learn very little which meaned that she was behind in maths. That 'incident' now affected her future and she is now in s2, high school and is still behind in math. St alberts primary forces your child to bring a pound to school for non uniform day, just to make more money for nothing. The teachers always choose the same children. My childs class was working on a movie about different countries. My child spend a whole day working on finding information as the teacher told her to and she was filmed reading it out. That was supposed to be in the movie but it seems like the teacher had cut only her part out and kept the rest of the class in. My child bought the cd of it only to find out she wasnt in it. That really upsetted her. The school waste time on trips, to many useless assemblies, too much playtime outside instead of learning things. I am very disapointed and would not reccomend any parent to send their child to this tiny school, when you could send them to a school much better like: mearns primary, crookfur primary, neilston primary, giffnock primary etc. Thanks for reading my review on this school, i hope you understand the disapointment this school gives."
