Reviews of Burra
"We’ve been to Burra a number of times and always enjoy our time there. The people that run it are so friendly and make it a very welcoming experience. Be warned, it’s always been busy whenever we’ve visited, so plan to wait a little bit - that said, it’s worth the wait. They do good coffee - no filter/batch brew, sadly, but it’s otherwise a good selection - and there’s a varied menu, alongside lots of cakes and baked goods to choose from. The space is a tad small; however, they’ve always made room for us, even when we’ve got the pram for our little one. People bring their dogs there and the facilities for little ones are great - they not only have high chairs, but a very clean bathroom with changing options, which I’m always very grateful for. Not great for a multi-Mum meet up, but for one or two of you, it’s fine. My only tiny (constructive) criticism is that the scrambled eggs could do with more seasoning - they’ve been a little bland the few times that I’ve had them. Otherwise, the food is great. My favourite dishes so far are the salmon scramble and the french toast with bacon/maple syrup. They could also do with having a few toddler/child food options, even if it’s just some pre-packed snacks. The one thing that I almost never leave without is some TimTams! Make sure to grab a pack of the double chocolate ones when you pay for your bill. You won’t regret it!"
"This is a fabulous place for breakfast. Everything I’ve ever had on the menu has been so delicious, we’ve even taken to having a first and second breakfast (that we share) the last few times as we just love it! The coffee is great too!"
"Extremely welcoming staff and decor is simple and stylish. Food is good, and coffee is even better. Have a creative vegetarian menu. Thank you for bringing us a warm relaxed afternoon."
"Burra is a small, but beautiful jewel tucked in Redland. This is a family friendly and dog friendly place. The menu is very nice and diverse with attention to the seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients. You will find lots of vegan friendly, gluten free and healthy options. No extra charge for oat milk! And the coffee is roasted in Bristol! Plus the staff is always very nice, friendly and helpful, even in the most busy times! Every time I come to Burra I feel welcome."
"If you are looking to go for coffee, great food or charming atmosphere. This cafe is the right place to go. The food was excellent. The best french toast in Bristol. The staff really friendly."
