"I joined the school earlier in the year and have found it very helpful for both my fitness and in many ways confidence in myself. All the instructors are well trained and always giving constructive and progressive feedback on your personal skill level. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get fit and learn to feel confident in defending yourself in tricky situations."
"I started training with John and the team at the beginning of this year and am so glad I did. I had no previous martial arts experience but found the classes were carefully tailored to ensure that everyone, no matter at what level, could progress each week. John and Kestas are fantastic instructors and really friendly, welcoming, and supportive (and this lead is definitely followed by the groups each week). We have a clear curriculum to follow and high standards are demanded. There is also specific attention paid to everyone's fitness and general conditioning which is crucial. I have learned a lot in a relatively short period of time and feel so much more confident in my (albeit still learner) ability to defend myself. I could not recommend the British Academy of Krav Maga more highly."
"I started a short while ago, but I have loved every class I have been to so far. The fitness is intense, but enjoyable. I have found the instructors to be very approachable and friendly guys who ensure that everyone receives correct and safe training. No matter which class you are in, the group is very friendly. I have no prior experience with martial arts, but when sparring, my partners, no matter how experienced, have always come down to my level helped me improve my technique. Well worth getting involved in!"
"I took up Krav Maga recently on a whim, and am having great fun with the 'Beginner's Course' so far. The fitness work can be pretty intense, in a good way, and it's enjoyable learning the new skills. I've no prior martial arts experience to compare it to, but would definitely recommend these classes for anyone looking to try something new."
"There are far better Krav Maga classes out there. Schedules were unreliable. For example, classes would be cancelled and no one would be informed about it; time slots, locations and sub-instructors would be switched around on a whim. The sub-instructors I initially attended classes with were okay and showed promise, but the number of classes lead by sub-instructors was reduced as a cost savings strategy."
