"Lovely place to visit and read about the historic and industrial past of the surrounding areas. Lovely little tea room and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Amazingly it was also free entry and parking."
"Nice place, with treasure for nearly everyone in the house. The kitchen is packed with object that we used in 1900s or before, some may worth more than anyone's imagine. For example, the Chinese tea brick could be worth more than £500.00 if it is from 1950s."
"Absolutely awesome museum, the house is beautiful outside and so interesting inside. It's a good place to visit even with kids, as they have lots of models, displays, and even interactive activities! The house itself has a great deal of history and everything is thorough and well explained. We were amazed this was for free! The people at the reception/shop were so friendly and welcoming, they made our day :)"
"Enjoyed our day out here. Nice walk around the grounds. Activities for all the family. Little museum inside, which was interesting. Cafe was good, welcoming staff and good coffee and food."
"The amazing place for free! Exhibitions packed with a lot of interesting information. Definitely worth visiting. Don't miss the kitchen!"
