Reviews of The Palace Theatre
"First time at "The Palace", I'm actually ashamed to admit, after 1/2 a century of living in Ayrshire. And I was impressed with the venue. Theatre audience on two levels, don't know the seating capacity, but certainly a great size for atmosphere. Not too big that it feels impersonal and not too small that it feels cramped. Show I attended was busy with a couple of people in wheelchairs also in the audience (so disabled access, and lift available inside). Car parking at the location is an issue (though it's not!) Plenty of town centre parking available with in walking distance. I parked at the back of the Salvation Army Hall next-door to the Theater, no problem. Kilmarnock bus station is also just across the way. Will I be back -- definitely."
"Good sized hall and reasonable leg space. No restricted view seating. Balcony too."
"What a wonderful place. The site was fabulous. Can't wait to see what they do to the building in the future."
"This was a good experience as there was a good amount of leg room between rows. The play was dancing with the devil and was very well portrayed. Staff also very helpful and pleasant....."
"Excellent show..The Jersey Beats! Lovely theatre, spacious seats and just a nice cosy size of venue. Plenty of staff to help you."
