Being a performing musician and working with live sound, my studio experience was restricted to working on my own material in a musicians capacity. The initial days of the course did seem extremely intimidating not only because was I in a totally new environment, but also in a legendary space with an unparalleled history. That being said, as the programme progressed all elements of the curriculum were explained and taught from the very basics and gradually progressed to advanced levels ensuring that everyone was up to speed. The quality and standard of the facility goes without saying is top notch and gives you everything you could possibly imagine to advance your skills and experiment to enable you to be well experienced on completion of the course; however, more than any of the equipment the defining factor for me was the invaluable support and expertise shared by all the people around me, be it the faculty, technicians, administration, studio staff, guest lecturers and most importantly my batchmates.
