"There are no endless warm ups & inactive drilling, as you would get with the majority of other clubs currently, or being demoralised because you've been pasted on your first day, putting you off jiu jitsu completely. Also, as with many other clubs you would be subject to certain policies, aka endless bowing, club specific gi/rashguards at extortionate prices, locked in monthly training contracts etc. Your experience at IoG will be in complete contrast to this, because since creating it. Ed has actively gone out of his way to evolve & improve the way he teaches jiu jitsu/grappling. Something that many other instructors are content, not to do. Meaning that the classes at IoG are purposeful, methodical & specifically geared towards making you as complete a grappler as possible. In the most informal & relaxed jiu jitsu environment you will likely come across. As a byproduct of this you will have new team mates, who will help to teach & acclimatise you to grappling (if you're new, if you're not you'll still get some good training sessions in). Ed has been one of my main instructors since I began jiu jitsu nearly a decade ago now. The reasons above are why myself & many others have chosen IoG as a bjj club and/or stayed with Ed as an instructor post covid."

"If you want to get better at submission grappling/BJJ and assert DOMINANCE over your foes; this is the place for you! Ed's approach to teaching, and the club environment he has cultivated is truly an amazing experience."
