"staff was really friendly, was easy to find the property and was nice that it was close to the river. 24/7 service. it is a hostel so I expected it to be basic but the cleaning standards still should be high standards no matter what hotel it is and it just wasn't. Sanitary bins in our room was full absolutely disgusting smelled awful, shower clearly wasn't cleaned either had public hairs at the bottom of it. Bed was as hard as rocks. Walls very thin."
"Great hostel with modern rooms and nice staff. At a great price This hostel is amazingly located in the city center close to a train station, shopping center and supermarket. With great access to public transport It has a self service kitchen which has a very decent amount of equipment, could do with a 2nd microwave for convenience though. The only annoyance is some of the showers are incredibly weak and the elevators really suck. Also some of the fliers they have up in the rooms are out of date or misprinted, advertising food and drinks at much lower rates than available, would be nice if they could be replaced or taken down entirely."
"I was in a 4 beds woman only room. My bed was comfortable. The room was big with a tv and a desk. Big common room. Location was good: Now to what I did not enjoy: The shower and the toilet in my room had no lock so anybody could of walked in at any minutes. The shower had no pressure, it was hard to wash of the soap… no way i could of wash my hair. The lockers only locked if you have one of the big locks. The kitchen only had 1 microwave for 9 floors…. So be prepared to wait for your lunch to heat up. Also room was bit the cleanest. There was dust everywhere. Overall, it was fine for a few nights because it was cheap (30$ a night) so if you have a small budget like me, i would recommend"
"Booked a private room with private bath. Everything met our expectations, noting that this is a hostel and not a hotel. Linens/pillows, towels provided. Management was kind enough to allow us to store our bags here PRIOR to our stay. We hiked a few days of the West Highland Way and did not need our luggage. We took day packs and stored our luggage for 2pounds per bag/day and when we returned to Glasgow our bags were waiting for us at our lodging. Very cool. Early check-in is available for a modest 5pounds per person and allows 11am check in, rather than 2pm. I was later downstairs at 2pm and the line to check-in was ridiculous, no joke, about 20 people in line with bags all checking in at the same time. Maybe everyone arrived on the same train/bus? I appreciated the early check in even more so after seeing that queue. My wife and I felt safe walking around in the area, along the river and also north towards the shopping/restaurant district. Overall a good stay and value for Glasgow Central train station."
"Good price for what it was. Had a private room that had all the basic necessities. Wasn't too loud and was quite spacious for a hostel. The layout made it hard to meet other travelers. The location was great for walking to everything and is a quick walk to the subway. Staff were also helpful in giving us tips on what to do in the city."
