"Was a pupil at Beal when it was a Grammar School in the 60's. Enjoyed all my time there, gaining passes in the GCE 'O' level examinations in several subjects."
"I agree with what everyone has said. the bullying is so bad in this school you may think we are exaggerating but only the people who go to Beal will understand how bad it is. for 1 the schools Redbridge and park hill run beal so if you don't go to Redbridge or park hill primary school then there's no point in coming Beal since you will never fit in. the only good or fun year of beal is year 7 because your new to the school and its a fun experience but once you get into year 8 people start being way more meaner. Also if you do come beal by the 6 month of being there you will notice all your primary school friends have either ditched you or become a completely different person. The children in this school have no respect for anyone some teachers don't either. Also in my first year of beal someone stole two of my phones and someone also stole my school shoes while I was doing p.e . also the teachers in beal think having an assembly about bullying will stop bullying it hasn't. im indian and I don't like the school or fit in so I cant imagine what it must be like for the black and white kids. its not fair because some kids might be abused or have bad lives at home and then they have to come beal. the girl who said her life has changed for the better sine she has come to beal must of had a really terrible life before beal"
"I have been here for 6 years and I haven't seen anything like it. It is the most crappiest school and sucks at absolutely everything. Yet despite all of that the school tries to hide away all the bad things when ofsted comes which gives them an outstanding. I think that this is a total bogus award and beal high got that on lucky fluke. When it comes bullying this school and it's teachers do very little to resolve. The older students bring in cigerretes and shisha pens right under the teachers noses and smoke them during school. Actually 3 or 4 of the teachers have been smoking just outside of the school premises which promoyes it more. So if you are deciding to send your child here then I think you better think twice, yes maybe school looks absolutely amazing from the outside but what goes on, in the inside I worse."
"As a year 10 student in Beal high school or now known as Beal academy trust, I must say that there are many issues regarding this school for starters the school is all about looking good in peoples eyes and fail to provide the outstanding teaching performance to all of its students. the school only really work with the student that actually have the intelligence of reaching the A* that they praise ever so much and just dump the rest of the student they might just need a little more support in lower sets, with teacher who quite frankly can not be bothered to teach us. a Math teacher in the school who teaches the lower set said and i quote "I quite frankly have given up on this class" followed by telling some student in the class that they were " failures" this is not the sort of teaching that would be expected of a very well know and high achieving school that was also awarded an outstanding for Ofsted of shall i say a bogus award. The school first receives a notice from Ofsted telling the school that they will be coming to the school this is then followed by the school being scrutinized by senior staff telling student to be on there best behaviour and teacher are put under major stress which then results in lessons being, well how can I describe it unreal teachers make the lessons ways more interactive and helpful to show the examiners how well taught the lessons are but all the student know that as soon as the inspectors leave it will soon immediately return back to the norm. returning back to the fact the school is now an academy i can now well and truly say that the 2-3 million that they have spent on building the new KS3 has affected the older KS4 buildings majorly and has affected the standard of vital GCSE lessons which mostly is due to the outdated computer systems and lack of supply's to teach a proper lesson.these are just a few of the main issues regarding the school this is simply just a warning to parents who are thinking about sending there child to this school. my final note would be that children that have learning difficulty's should come to this school as it offers very good facility's to those that have learning difficulty's"
"As a former student of the school, I would not recommend any parents to send their child to this school. I only left in 2012 when it was just awarded outstanding by ofsted. All the lesson plans and assemblies were changed prior to the ofsted visit, none of it reflected the true ability of the school. Yes, the grades are very good, but there is too much emphasis on grades rather than the well being of students. Students who have the potential to do well are not recognised, hence they lose out in comparison to the rest of the students."
