"Both my children have been through the school from year 7 to year 13 - the younger one is now in year 13. They have both had very positive experiences. As a parent I would say there is excellent support from both teachers and the senior management team. The school involves and informs parents in and about their child's education in a way none of my friends with children at other schools have experienced. This is a safe, secure and caring environment where staff strive to help every student achieve their full potential."
"I have 3 children at this school. They all enjoy school, have made good academic progress and have good strong friendship groups. All 3 have been well supported by teachers who are approachable and build good relationships with pupils. As a parent there are many ways to be involved with the school. The school communicates well with parents and recognises the value of parental involvement. There are regular presentations by staff to parents on subjects such as changes to the curriculum and online safety. This is an inclusive school committed to meeting the needs of all pupils."
"I'm a fairly new parent. Absolutely delighted with this lovely school which has provided precisely what we looked for: an excellent education in a warm, caring and enjoyable environment. Inspiring head teacher supported by and very popular with parents. Teaching staff terrific! My already academically strong child has made excellent progress. He has made lots of lovely new friends, and really enjoys the extra-curricular activities e.g. track cycling, debating society. I am very pleased."
"My three daughters have all been through The Elmgreen School, did great in their exams, and are all at university now. Moreover while there they learned how to work with people from all different backgrounds, and have strong friendship groups. I think that it was the emphasis on life skills, tolerance and community that sets the school apart. My experience is that it is a very happy school."
"This was my secondary school and I have always loved it. They have always helped me with past bullying issues back in 2010 when I started and during on the years that I've been there. I've always been a big target for most bullies. The only thing I do not like is the new headteacher - just being completely honest since this is a review. The food is delicious. Love the staff - especially the library staff. Amazing atmosphere for learning. Me and the library staff have a good bond and that's where I made friends! Everything will be terribly missed. I couldn't have gone to a better secondary school. It's already been a year since I left. Wish I could've stayed."
