"This is a truly good school. My daughter joined in year 8- 2020. She is quite and introverted but at SHS she is always seen and heard. Kids crack jokes in classes and the teachers appreciate humour and never reprimand or act offended. Girls are genuinely respected by all staff. Our daughter eventually made great friends. And she is continuously challenged academically and her grades are getting better every year. The school offers support lessons to GCSE students who are not on track and this has helpful. Overall, it’s a well balanced school."

"PLEASE READ REVIEW BEFORE APPLYING TO THIS SCHOOL: this school is honestly the worst, if there was a business solely to traumatize and make young girls cry and feel cornered, alone and dismissed, this is the one!! only sadistic parents would send their kids here knowing what this school is like, please please please for the love of your children do not send them here unless u can afford eternal therapy for lifelong mental damage…"

"I have had two girls go to Sutton High, one of them from the age of three now going into Year 12, and the other left Year 13 just last year. They have both loved their time at Sutton High School, and I have particularly been impressed by the pastoral care offered by staff across the school. It’s comforting knowing they are in an environment where they are constantly offered support and guidance, whilst letting the girls’ independence grow. Sutton High’s range of facilities and opportunities have always been great and my daughters have enjoyed a range of trips and activities throughout their school careers. The wraparound care offered, even from nursery, was so helpful whilst my husband and I worked. My daughters would have time to complete their work, have a snack and enjoy their spare time with their friends until we were able to collect them. Overall, Sutton High School has always kept my daughters happy, motivated and determined to be the best they can be."

"Our daughter joined Sutton High in Year 7 and is very happy there. She came from a wonderful state primary school (which she loved, and we loved), so the bar had been set very high, but we have nothing but praise for the school. Our perception of the new head is that she is fantastic; hugely energetic, invested, communicative and very present, with a great vision for the school. Her staff are passionate about their roles as educators, are very approachable and really know their pupils and how to support and progress them. The school takes the students’ health and wellbeing very seriously, and the girls know that there is network of support available to them, should they need it. Academically, they have high expectations of the girls, and encourage them to work to the very best of THEIR ability. And this is where I think Sutton High perhaps differs from other schools in the area. Our daughter got a place at the local grammar school, but in the end, we chose to send her to Sutton High. Financially, it was a very big decision (especially as we have two daughters!), but my husband posed the question, ‘Where do you think she will thrive more?’, and my instinctive answer was Sutton High. The variety of opportunities in terms of sport, art, music, drama, STEM, trips etc are great and wide-ranging, and offer the chance for your daughter to find something that they really love and are good at. That’s a real bonus for the self-esteem when navigating the occasionally rocky path of teenager-hood! Overall, as our daughter trots happily down to the station each morning, looking ahead to a school day filled with lovely friends, ‘kind teachers and amazing food’ (her words!) and lots of interesting learning opportunities, we feel we made the right decision."

"Daughter is in Year 3 having started in nursery and has been extremely happy at Sutton High. The school has brought out the best in her and she is growing to be confident and all rounded and willing to try all activities they offer. I would not go on the negative comments of the few that have posted as it is well known that people tend to leave reviews only when unhappy so definitely the minority I would say! Great school and teachers always happy to discuss girls welfare."
