Reviews of William Morris Primary School Mitcham
"This is a good Primary School. It has been attached with the Singlegate School in Colliers Wood to improve their performance."
"My children only spent a brief amount of time at this school, during that time they were going through the loss of their grandad who lived at home with us, the school reception and staff was supportive and helped me as much as they could, however, one of my Children in year 2 experienced both verbal and physical asult. I had many meetings with the teacher and leaised with reception regular but the parent of the child in question was never informed of their child’s behaviour. I felt, It was not delt with appropriately & it almost seemed as if my child was causing unnecessary upset when really it wasn’t that much of a problem and apparently all happened in one day, which I no to be untrue. Any abuse that is considered consistent & hurtful is bullying any physical asult should under no circumstances be tolerated and no matter how unfrequent IS bullying, The staff seemed reluctant to contact parents to discuss children’s behaviour, myself included was not aware of a situation in which my child had made someone upset also, this was only brought to my attention when a further incident occurred and I complained again, which I was not happy about, in order to create structured school life it is vital parents are aware of harmful behaviour to another child so that the child can be delt with appropriately at home as well as in school, when the unit between parent and teacher is broken you as a teacher or a mother are not able to meet either the needs of both the bullied or bully, if there is no communication no matter how small things will always continue until it becomes and issue neither one can resolve! Let me stress, I am aware all types of bullying takes place in many different schools. My issue is the way it was delt with & in the short time of 7 months that my children attended the discussions and behaviour they were a Subjected to was just unexceptatble."
"I love my school sooo much, it's a good school for me and my siblings and our teachers are very supportive."
