"This school has been the best thing that happened to me. Initially i was quite sad that i didn't get into my first choice school but i think that it was really good that I didn't. From years 7 to 9 you are allowed to be a child. There is not much academic pressure - more about following annoying rules and being with friends. There is a range of free clubs that you go to such as trampolining, rugby, dance etc and they put musicals every year which anyone can be part of. In year 10 to 11 (GCSE period) the teachers honestly try their best to teach and help children pass their GCSEs and (most of them) not only try and help you meet your target grades, they also try and help you suppress them. If you need any help/ have a doubt you can ask them at anytime via email or going to see them at lunch/ break/before school/after school. The teachers here (most of them) generally know how to teach."
"Corrupt teachers here they will give detentions out to the best of students even at the times, even if there's no reason and if the student asks why or verification of the detention the teachers here ignore it and say that they're also arguing/talking back and they can make that alteraction ANY student could have into whatever detention they please however long ranging from 30 minutes to a 24 hour to 72 hour exclusion. Don't bring your kids here unless you want them to waste their time this school denies education to most students and make them pay for trips "in the name of education" whereas one of them is a ski trip, has nothing to do with education just "fun" and they increase the original price you as an individual could pay and go on a ski trip above 600£ so they can profit from that and scam parents for money."
""and they reduction your marks if your born in September." That isn't something only our school does. It's done on official tests all around England, since being born in September gives you an advantage over other students who are not. You have much more time to process information, and understand the world around you than someone born in August; nearly a year to be specific. Not really a review just wanted to point that out lol"
"The school looks really old on the outside and they reduction your marks if your born in September."
"My School was Orange Hill Grammar School for Boys. 1953-1957. (Abbots Road.) So happy with the wonderful progress this establishment and faculty have made over the years.( Half a century.) When the school moved to Mote Mount it was a stones throw from where I lived as a child. Ramillies. Wonderful memories and great friends I still know to this day.
