"I love this school.. Lots of schools claim to be nurturing, but at Unicorn they really walk it like β¦ WHEN EVER I PASS THROUGH THE SCHOOL I SEE HAPPIEST KIDS ALWAYS WITH SMILING FACES"
"I love this school. Having had both a son and daughter go through Unicorn I can confirm what a special experience it has been for them and for the whole family. Lots of schools claim to be nurturing, but at Unicorn they really walk it like they talk it. Single form entry, small class sizes and monitoring from the older children mean that your child feels known and an important part of the community from the nursery class onwards. The children become close friends, almost like siblings or cousins by the time they reach UV class (year 6) and parents form close bonds too. Music and Art are second to none (expect some truly amazing assemblies and musical theatre productions) and the children get to try out a mind blowing range of sports and activities through the Thursday afternoon clubs ; mine racked up horse riding, sailing, pottery, skiing, trampolining and I could go on.... Both teaching and pastoral care are excellent and they have a focus on kindness, courage and reflection, turning out happy, well rounded children. They manage to keep the pressure low until the 11+ run up, which can feel like a bit of a shock. Having said that, both my children got places at their first choice of senior school, without any external tutoring. Great academic results without hothousing and friendships for life. A fantastic place."
"Unicorn has been the happiest of places for my two children. It is a school which buzzes with creativity and the energy of enthusiastic pupils and teachers. There is a fantastic balance between getting the best out of every child and enabling them to thrive in a relaxed environment. My son (year 6) will be so sad to leave, as will we as a family."
"All three of my children have attended Unicorn School. As a child psychotherapist I understand the huge impact that primary education has on the emotional and psychological development of children. Unicorn School offers a unique learning community where children feel seen, nurtured and safe. The school is committed to enhancing the self esteem and resilience of all its pupils through creativity and play and also to providing a high standard of academic achievement. Children learn best when they are happy and have plenty of time to have fun. Unicorn understands this and holds at its core an ethos that is about the whole child, not just about their education. It is a warm place and the community buzzes with genuine playfulness and a sense of well-being."
"My kids attended Unicorn and loved every moment of it. It's a really special place. In particular, I like the relaxed, informal style where great academic outcomes come as a by-product of developing happy, confident and well-rounded children. If you want to play an active role in your child's development, this is the school for you."
