"a truly happy school very you feel part of one big family. i was fortunate to spend a decade of my early years at this magical school, sadly senior school was a far cry fro the the nurtue an joy i felt at edge grove. the fields to run, the doughnuts to eat, the teacher the bonfire nights and the christmas pudding find the penny. i am always thankful fro this joy and security i felt. as a dyslexic extra support was exceptional thankyou is not enough if i live local of course i would send my children laura hussey )(sennett) 1994 -2007"
"A wonderful school set in beautiful grounds. My children are very happy here - they are challenged academically, exposed to a wide range of opportunities and supported by hard working, professional, caring staff. I 100% recommend Edge Grove!"
"I would not advise sending your child here, my children have came back and told me about the lack of freedom in this school. Upper school is forced to stay in a field for all their breaks left with no actives to do. Students are not even allowed to walk around the grounds even in Year 8! This school is controlling and often restricts even going to the bathroom, they shout at children for little reason instead of educating them! Harassment and bullying is not taken seriously in this school it is overlooked and is viewed as 'boys being boys' when parents and students start to address the bullying in the school their only way to respond to the situation is making an assembly about kindness. In all my child's time in Edgegrove he would come back most days feeling depressed and empty."
"A great school. My son loves his school days! The school offers all kinds of after school activities. Lunch is great! Teachers and staffs are always very helpful. The school takes learning seriously and they balance it well. They don't put too much pressure on the kids. Another good thing is they have games in 3 out of the 5 school days. My son loves it. We feel really lucky to be in this school."
"Our daughter (now in year 8) has been at Edge Grove since year 6 having spent all her previous schooling in the French system. We joined the school at a time when the new headmaster, Me Evans, was still putting in place his vision, but we felt that he knew exactly what he was wanting to do, and we completely bought into that vision. We have not been disappointed. The pastoral care has been first rate, particularly helping our daughter in the transition to a British Independent school. From what we have seen, any pastoral issues are dealt with speedily and sensitively. Great emphasis is put on politeness and creating the right environment for learning, whilst enjoying everything that the school has to offer. The education curriculum is innovative, supportive and stretching, and the school is doing a fantastic job of supporting all year 8 pupils in preparation for CE, truly differentiating based on the schools they are applying to and the exams they will be taking. Extra-curriculum activities are great too - the Director of Music is fantastic and the improvement in the quality of all school music activities has been marked, while the head of girls' games is really raising the bar too. Staff go beyond what one might expect and respond rapidly and helpfully to any questions or concerns. The parent community is friendly and welcoming. The school certainly deserves its recent rating of Excellent in all regards from the Independent Schools Inspection. I highly recommend the school to any prospective parent."
