Reviews of Boys & Girls Nursery Watford
"My son attended this nursery between the years of 2015 to 2017, after a promising start, this nursery failed my son with a continual rapid turnover of staff and management. This nursery is not inclusive and failed to raise any red flags with us in a transparent and timely manner regarding my son’s development to help request an EHCP for my son when he started school. Instead of supporting us, this nursery very much wanted to close ranks and protect their reputation and that is all they care about. I did make a complaint to Ofsted and do see a later complaint was upheld in 2018 over routine (lack of it most probably) and unclear policies and procedures. I admit Ofsted have contradicted themselves here seeing as they only reviewed their services the year before in 2017 and should have pulled them up on any weakness in their policies and procedures then. However, it doesn’t surprise me as these Ofsted reports are not worth the paper they are written on clearly. Where a good Ofsted report clearly has a wide range of meaning, anything from almost outstanding to mediocre in this case. Fortunately, since we moved area our eyes have been opened to what real quality supportive childcare looks like. In fact the current manager was my son’s keyworker, my son was adamant that she hit him in her care and something very dubious went on here which we never got to the bottom of and caused my son emotional trauma, and the nursery covered it up!"
"We've had a great experience with Boys & Girls so far. Our little girl has settled in well and seems to really enjoy her time at nursery, being with the key workers and other babies. It's been a real joy watching her development and we're very happy with our decision to send her there. We get regular updates through their app to let us know the activities they've been doing and the food must be good as LO eats well there too."
"Boys and girls is a fantastic nursery and I would recommend to anyone looking at putting their child into the nursery. My boy is there and has gained so much from being around other children. All the staff are absolutely fantastic. They know your child so well and at pick up come down for a chat and everyone knows what he's been up to, comment on almost imperceptible mood changes etc."
"I’ve been meaning to leave a review for boys and girls watford for ages. My daughter has been going there since she was 11 months, and I really cannot possibly recommend them highly enough. All the staff are wonderful and really know their stuff! They have been unbelievably supportive since we started, especially in the last year, helping me explain to our now 3 year old that her grandfather had passed away, they also keep her memories of him alive with the family book. I honestly wouldn’t use any other nursery."
"Our three year old son attended the Watford Boys and Girls Nursery over summer of 2020 while we temporarily stayed in Watford and we had a great experience. The staff was very accommodating and caring. They were very kind with our son, who is a bit shy and introverted and they helped him with his lunches (he is also a very picky eater). They quickly discovered his favourite games and made sure to have them handy for him. We felt very happy with the service provided, especially with their warmth and attention to his personality as well as their general flexibility and responsiveness, and we would strongly recommend this nursery!"
