"Ok so let me start.. alot of people saying Beavers isn't a good school kids are not behaved well etc etc ... STOP ! This school is very very good a 5 star worth school. My child goes to this school and has learnt so much and looks forward to going to school every other day. The teachers are amazing and very polite. The receptionists are lovely and I feel welcomed at all times. Upbringing starts from home you cannot blame a school at all or expect them to upbring your child for you. So STOP having negative thoughts of this school or listening to so called Rumors because I tell you they aren't true at all !!"
"My son is so happy here. He's improved a lot and I can clearly see how's he been looking after very well. Staff are really helpful and friendly. It deserves Outstanding ofsted rate."
"Went to this school as a child and later for work experience. Staff are friendly and are always pushing for the children to excel in their studies, the school is very inclusive of the diverse backgrounds of the pupils."
"Looking at the other reviews, I felt that I should share my own experience from a parent's perspective. Hopefully this is helpful. Here goes: On my child's progress: I have found my child has made excellent progress since joining on September 2015. She has hugely improved her reading, writing and maths skills. The staff are generally very nice and easy to talk to. I really like the fact that the school focuses on core behaviours such as turning bad choices into good ones and other things such as respecting each other etc. On the atmosphere: Some of the parents dropping their children off appear a little rowdy, use colourful language and smoke at the gates etc. This is a little frustrating since there are little children around, but I have learnt to ignore it and make my child understand that people all have choices and this is the choice these parent's are making. Not the best example of behaviour, but that is simply my opinion. The school has a great diverse range of children from all backgrounds, which is a major positive in my opinion. I really want my child to learn about other cultures and backgrounds. On the other reviews: I really believe that some people need to back up their negative comments, as valid as they may be, with some details I. E. The last poster mentioned that they had gone to the school "since day one". We have no idea when that day was and how many years ago it was. Note: To the person who gets bullied, be relentless in seeking help from family and staff!!! And I mean, every single day!!!! Overall feedback: - My child makes great progress here. - My child enjoys going to school. - Parking can be a bit of a hassle, so you need to arrive a little early or park a bit far and walk a few minutes. - After school clubs are good and the staff teaching the kids are nice. - The school facilities look good, especially the newer part of the school. - Sports days are really good. Great to see the children having fun. - School lunch, I am told, is generally nice however I have not seen what the children are given so cannot comment further. - Homework for children of reception and year 1 is too much. I have often told teachers that some of the things asked as part of homework should be given in later years and not so early. E. G. My child aged 6 was asked to demonstrate the understanding of black inequality, which to me is absurd. My child doesn't understand the concept of prejudice let alone injustice at the scale that happened in America. - Teachers for reception and year 1 are generally very friendly and easy to talk to. - The male receptionist (I forget his name, but am fairly certain he is the only male receptionist) is a chronic forgetter. Despite my calling and informing him several times that I would collect my child early, he still failed to inform my child's teachers on 3 separate occasions in the space of 6 months. Particularly useless. That's all I can think of for now. Hope this helps."
