"In the evening light, we drove into the grounds of the school. The concert hall, a beacon of gold light guiding us to an evening of super stringed music. In planning a trip to Europe, a person is likely to put London on the list of places to visit. Sure, it is a great old town from which to fly in and out. The countryside to the west of London, however, holds a wealth of attractions (Windsor castle, the 100 Acre Wood and, the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music). Just south on the country roads that cross Stoke d'Abernon and Cobham and Leatherhead is where you will find the Yehudi Menuhin School. Plan your visit to take in one of their musical events and you will feel the delight in the quality of music and a trace of the brotherhood or sisterhood inside the musical world. The night we went we saw the Olympianist play piano next to a terrific possy of violinists. Much applause!"
"A wonderful school of excellence for 85 talented young String players & Pianists founded by the late Yehudi Menuhin. Today Students showed groups of Friends round the most recent developments providing extra practise rooms, Music Library & renovations set in the beautiful grounds. Friends support fund raising for additional facilities for the students & audiences at student concerts in the outstanding Concert Hall that seats 300."
"BEST MUSIC SCHOOL IN ENGLAND . Created by legendary violinist Yehudi Menuhin this place is a womb for talent! Send your kid here if they have talent!"
"The small (300 seat) concert hall attached to the Yehudi Menuhin School is one of the less well-known delights of Surrey. The building is attractive and award winning but, best of all, has truly excellent sound qualities. Concerts of a very high quality are held throughout the year and, although a number of well-known names may feature in some concerts, the regular showcase concerts featuring pupils of all ages from the school are an excellent way to enjoy a varied choice of music and to show support for the star musicians of tomorrow."
"This is really a review of the Menuhin Hall as a recording venue. It is utterly first class. Normally there's some sort of background noises that bother you, not here. We recorded solo piano for three days and we never had a take interrupted by outside noise. The hall sounds very beautiful, too. Finally - we must recommend the Fazioli as the piano to record on. It is truly the superior instrument here and we could hardly part with it at the end of the recording. We will be back!"
