"My son went to rivers, he was bullied by a boy 2 years older then him, I complained, to mrs Hughes and ms Scott at least once a week and was ignored, we took my son out of this rotten school, he was broken inside he now goes to a wonderful school, rivers is the worst school with teachers who do not care, it's an academy which means the school can do what they want because they dont answer to any one disgusting school"
"The school gave detention for using the phone on break time, they did not bother to inform the parents and gave the detention on the same day. Caused a lot of stress and worry for my son. Very unprofessional and unfair decision. I did not know where my son was, the reception didn't know either. How am I supposed to know where my son is. So much stress and tension."
"I left this school at the end of yr 8 due to a house move. I give this a two stars because of the way the teachers deal with situations in this school. They don't deal with the naughty children, they don't use their authority to sort out the issues in this school. I was picked on by a specific student and they had already shown to be a distracting, disgustingly rude person. I was picked on in class, bullied due to my physical appearance and I was physically hurt by them (single person), the teachers and staff did nothing about it, nothing. This caused me to loose my self-esteem and self-confidence. I was so broken, I had to leave. My friends face the same problems, one of them was even called a horrific phrase by a teacher. I will not say. But they put such little effort, I feel, into how the students interact with other students and what they do about it. But I do give a start because of some teachers who I feel were good teachers. To me. They school does have some good qualities. They have good lessons, good classrooms, good learning qualifications. But in the mental health department. It's horrible."
"this school is nasty. its so silly. if i had to choose between having sleep paralysis every time i go to sleep or going back to this school, i would choose the sleep paralysis. this school cares more about uniform than anything else. you could literally be racially abused and they wont do anything about it. bc they are a horrible school. im so glad i left"
