"We spent the whole morning on The Water of Leith walkway in Edinburgh, exploring this beautiful and peaceful trail that takes you on a journey through some of the city's most picturesque scenery. The trail winds along the river, passing through Dean Village and into the heart of Leith. Along the way, you'll encounter historic mills, charming old buildings (which give out serious Harry Potter feels), and plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife. It was the perfect way to start our exploring of the beautiful Edinburgh."
"We had a beautiful walk by the water! Great scenery, quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Good for the dogs, level enough for prams."
"A extensive and lovely walk long the banks of the Water of Leith. Most of it is fairly shaded during the summer so nice and cool. Takes you through the heart of the Dean Village which is worth a visit by itself."
"Amazing walk! I enjoyed a lot. Very nice places and scenery. Very quiet. Just a fee places a little crowded during weekend, but it is super nice. You can see a lot of parks too! Very nice walking"
"I went there on my way to Edinburgh Christmas Market. As much as the market was busy and lacked shop and food diversity, this river walkway was amazing. You feel you are walking through the history. The view is something should not be missed. The whole path from the Water of Leith visitor centre all the way to Edinburgh is a much longer walk and worth planning as a half day out."
